A Mil!

On Sept 14th GoD and DoG reached a million views after being posted for 40 days. It has been one of the busiest times I've ever had. There has been a steady stream of mail. It is amazing to read how people feel about the song. I have a literary agent now and we hope that GoD and DoG will be made into a book. I have been doing interviews and articles and trying to keep up with the sites. The DVD will ship out any day now and we are excited about that. There have been many preorders for it. Although the cafe press store is doing well, Cindy (our office manager) and I decided to do our own mugs and t-shirts because we can get them so they won't be so expensive to buy. So we did the orders for that today. It has been such a fun thing to work on all of the GoD and DoG projects. We are still so surprised and thrilled at the response the video has had.

Wendy,
Your success is so well deserved. God and Dog is very moving, because it is so very true. As a psychotherapist, I see my work as freedomwork, supporting my clients back to who they truly are. God and Dog would not love them so, if they were not already so amazing. Many thanks. Andrew Seubert (www.clearpathhealingarts.com)

I can't tell you how many times I have watched this piece and shed a tear(s). My mom sent it to me...I have not participated in organized religion for a long, long, time. This is the concept of God that could bring me back to Him.

I have sent it on to every dog-lover I know!

Wendy,

I have long been aware that 'dog' is 'God' spelled backwards, a mirror image. I've always loved that concept, for as a life-long dog lover, beginning with "Lassie", and continuing throughout my life with my own 4-legged family members, the love of a dog is the most vivid and concrete example of God's love for us.

Your song and animation touched my heart, and expressed EXACTLY what I've felt for a long long time. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. What a gift. I love your voice, too.

I've posted the video on my blog, www.conservativepup.com, along with links to your homepage. I wish you much continued success.

God bless you and your family.

Dear Wendy,

Someone sent me God and Dog as soon as you made it available on YouTube. I've had a very hard couple of days and a dear friend just re-sent it to me. It came at the perfect time. No accident, I'm convinced. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my open heart where my the love for my dog, Olive and God travel with me everywhere I go. Wishing you much success and bliss.

Dear Wendy,I have had to assist our family doggie Ka-De to the Rainbow Bridge recently. But had heard your song before Ka-De left.
I am grateful for your song as it expresses a most wonderful eulogy for Ka-De and for our Lucy dog who left us 10 years ago also.
I read your explanation of each line and I want you to know that I know since all animals are pure spirit, it is quite fitting that you saw the parallel between God and Dog. Man and Woman's best friend on both counts :)
The minute I was finished listening to the song the first time I sent it to everyone in my address book. And today with my group I mentioned it and have sent it to more people.
With humble thanks, Sharon

Wendy, Watching your video for the first time rendered me speechless, deeply touched, and brought to tears. You get it.

I've long felt in my heart, and seen in the eyes of my dogs, the connection between God and dogs, the similarity of their unconditional love and loyalty and God's. Some may think this as heretical, but I also firmly believe that God can use dogs (and other animals) to minister to us in our times of need, if we are receptive to it.

Thank you SO much for this song and the message it brings. I watched the video again at lunch and then sat down in the floor and had a hug & pet-a-thon with our three German Shepherds and thanked God for such wonderful gifts.

I love this song!!! Completely & totally made me cry. Definitely not blasphemy, a better picture of unconditional love cannot be found!

Thanks for writing it & sharing it with us all!

(Total aside, but I love your husband's music too!)

I saw God and Dog for the first time today. Your words are something I have felt for such a long time. All my greatest life lessons I have learned from dogs!
I wish you much success!

Wendy,
Your song is wonderful and so moving! The hardest I cried was after the death of one of my beloved dogs. I have thanked God many times for creating these loving creatures. God and Dogs = unconditional love. Thank you for the song. Marilyn Bolton

Hi again. I just had to leave another comment. That God and dog video is just so awesome! I watch it every time I go to my e-mail. I want the DVD! Info, please? Thank you for creating this awesome video. It touches my heart every time! I want my "boys" to watch it with me, remember my "boys" are my 2 dogs! They would love it! Like I do!

Ms Wendy,
though your movie is cute, and many people enjoy it, I personally found it incredibly depressing. My reason is that the God that I know is magnificent and holy. He is the Creator of all the universe. We show that we love Him if we obey His commands. God is not just 'along for the ride.' He demands to be our EVERYTHING! God is not a dog that is always so happy that we are spending some time with Him. No, He is holy, just, and awesome, and does not want to be the 'dog' in our lives, but God.

Mrs. Francisco, thank you for your work. I have watched it three or four times, spread over a couple weeks. I still cry each time. My boys and I lost our black and white dog Domino less than a year ago. We lost their mom a year before that. (She's healthy and happy-just opted out of the family.) Watching your animation while in the emotional state you might imagine us to be in, really allows it to tug at our heartstrings.

I am religious, and find no reason to take offense at the observations of GoD and DoG. Indeed, I appreciate them much. I included a link to it in a tribute to Domino that I posted online. I hope such a thing is permitted. I admit to being quite new to online social networking. It is here. Please let me know if it's not your desire to have people link to GoD and DoG in this way and I'll remove it immediately.

Again, Mrs. Francisco, thank you very much for this work. I love it.

Good grief. It still makes my cry.

I'm edward william valentine wolverton on facebook. If you want to trade dog stories, I'll take friend requests if you put "dog lover" in it. You will have to go a long way to convince me your dog is better than Domino.

I take that back. It shouldn't be a contest. I invite stories of how your dogs are also wonderful members of your family, just like Domino was.

I found your video God and Dog today. I just lost my beloved Dalmatian Cosmos three weeks ago, and adopted Lucy, a young Lab scheduled for execution 45 minutes before the pound opened up on the day I adopted her one week ago. (Don't even ask how many phone calls it took to save her.) She joined my rescue dog Sunny of 12 years and me in my condo and I love them both very much.

Thank you for this touching animation. Even as a person of little faith, it made me cry and it made me believe.

xoxoxo

You touched upon a common thread in the nicest of ways. I can hardly think of anything to say but thanks! Come to think of it I hope that a book project comes to fruition. I'd love to see this short at theatres during intermission. Maybe the royalties would help you keep on doing what it is that you do...

Wendy, you are extraordinary. The song--its lyrics, its melody, its exquisite simplicity--is the true expression of my love for my dog and my creator.

This song is a gift from God. YOU are a gift from God. And now I have to go hug my dog.

Hello Wendy! I had sent an email stating just how much a sweet, sensitive song seemed to illustrate how I feel. I love God very much and I also love my Dog Bello very much! I think your song shows one small aspect of the miracle of God, gifting us with furry creatures who love us unconditionally. Having just gone through a life change and now find myself on my own, I am not really alone. I am so grateful I have great family, friends, workplace, etc., but they are not always with me. God is always with me, and my Dog Bello is with me as much as possible. He doesn't care if I have a really bad hair day or if the home is untidy, he is there for me to love and he loves me back, putting his head on my lap when I am feeling ill, and acting goofy and full of fun when I am well.

Also, reading your bio, gave me a little motivation to pursue and further my hobbies of drawing, singing, and presently learning the guitar. My Dog tries to put his nose in the guitar as I am trying to practice. He gets all frisky!

I wish you continued success! You have a rare gift of touching people's hearts! That is wonderful!
Best wishes, Lori and Bell

It looks like I'm only one of many who is thrilled for your success.

I have had the germ of a thought in my head and heart for years; that God's perfect love is beautifully expressed by the world and animals with which He gifted us. Dogs, especially, seem to spread their perfect agape love and trust to whomever takes the time to look.

I added your song to my FB page (with credit of course) and have received literally dozens of notes about it in the last several hours.

Your talent is outstanding, your message pure, and I look forward to hearing much more from you.

Thank you for blessing many!

Wendy, this brilliant video really struck a chord in me! The best way to show my appreciation was to post to my pet blog about it so my whole network can see it http://www.my-baby-pet.com/pet-stories/god-and-dog I would love it if you could subscribe to my channel on YouTube before you get too famous, (my channel is boomerblogger) I think you will like some of my videos about pets (not in your league at all) but I hope that with comments from talented people like you I can go viral like you someday. Thanks again for this, as a dog lover it really says it all for me!

Thank you for the gut busting video! My boss emailed it to all of us in the office about a week ago and it has been the joke in the office ever since. I honestly couldn't tell if your video was serious or if you were being sarcastic. When I realized it was serious, I laughed even harder. Amazingly sappy. Please create more of these ridiculous animal and god comparison videos so we can be entertained. Thanks for the ab workout.

This would be in reply to the comment left by "Dog Lover" and I put that name in quotes because it's obvious by her comment that she doesnt know squat about dogs. And as for "loving them" (again in quotes) she doesnt know the first thing about dogs. I am the biggest skeptic of all time. I am 60 years old, I have been blogging and using the internet for over 10 years so I know the difference between "sappy" and true feelings. I hate "sappy" and delete it after two sentences, but pay attention "dog lover" this was original, creative, poetic and inspiring. You will not find a negative comment about it anywhere except with people like "dog lover" who talk the talk but neglect the walk.

Dear Wendy,
I liked your song and animation very much. Actually, it made me cry (in a good way). I hope it reminds everyone how much God adores them ~ even if they don't have a furry extension of God to give them tangible evidence. I posted your song's link to my FB page ~ so I can share it with my friends. Merry Christmas!

I think everyone loves it so much because it is so simple to understand. Not like reading the bible. That can get quite complicated. Thank you. I love it. Have watched it 5 times in the last 10 mins.
